About Us

We are a specialist document storage company, we store various types of sensitive commercial, legal and personal documents including, but not limited to, Last Wills and Testaments, Property Deeds, Lasting Powers of Attorneys, identification etcetera in a secure controlled environment.

Whilst the Land Registry manages most Deeds and changes to deeds online these days, the actual original documents still have, both, commercial and potentially historical value. This is particularly true of older properties. The hard copies still need to be retained.

Our storage facilities are designed to secure all manner of documents, we can scan the original copies and store copies of all the deeds associated, for multiple purposes, securely in our fire-resistant cabinets housed in fire-resistant, secure containers.

You, your executors, clients, trusted members – have access to the digital copies of your original deeds. Each box is bar-coded, and this unique reference is stored in our database along with the box location for easy retrieval.

Nationwide Secure Documents Archives are also a signatory to the Data Protection Act and all employees are fully briefed on their own, and the companies responsibilities concerning the protection of personal third party data including legal documents.

Why is it important to store your deeds with a company like ours?

From experience from our subsidiary companies who have dealt with a variety of contentious matters and family rivalry problems, where Wills and important documents have been lost, misplaced, damaged or stolen, it is one of the safest choices. (see our news articles for real lost deed horror stories).

Your Will is the most important document you will ever sign

How it works

When you have your documents ready for storage we would ask you to complete a short ‘Information Request Form’, we would ask you to detail within the form, what you are storing, your contact details, next of kin details and it is here that you would stipulate who, if anyone, you would like to grant access to your documents, (in essence) you can provide an ‘Authority to Act’ for your trusted individuals (these individuals may include trusted family members, friends, or even the executors to your will) to have access, upon your behalf, if (for any reason) you were unavailable to gain access to those documents yourself – these trusted individuals can be changed at any time with a small admin fee.

We issue wallet sized cards for you and your trusted individuals (I.e. family members, trusted friends, executors of your Will, solicitors, etc., so if, for any reason, you are unable to action your important documents, your trusted individuals can do this for you without having to get a Court Order or waiting long periods of time for the retrieval of your original documents.

We would always have two members of senior personnel securely signing in or out your original documents from our storage chambers. When storing your Wills, deeds and other important documents held with us, we keep a secure copy in our database, so this is accessible to you, or your nominated members, at the ‘click of a request’ to a member of our friendly team. (For more information on security please see our GDPR information sheet).

Great for executors of your Last Will and Testament

In cases where you have nominated an executor of your Last Will and Testament, this makes life much simpler in dealing with your estate administration after you have passed. Your trusted individuals would just have to quote your secure identification number and quote your password (or you may wish for them to provide their own password) but this information can be changed at any time.

The other great use of our company is, upon receipt of your Last Will and Testaments a trained member of the team can check your will for you, (limited to the provisions of the requirements of section 9 Willa Act 1837) to ensure that it has been signed, dated and witnessed correctly before it is stored safely for you. If however, when your documents are being checked and there is a problem, we would return the document to yourself advising you of the problem and how it can be corrected (this is another free service we offer)

We also register your Last Will and Testament with Certainty (The National Wills Register on your behalf) as part of our continued service to you.

If at any point you wish to re-write or update your Will, our sister company ‘3C Legal Ltd’ can do this for you, and as a special introductory offer (only available to new clients) and you can take advantage of one years storage completely free of storage charges. Just call our friendly team for more details.
